Tony and I became friends when we waited tables together 10 years ago and we bonded over Wilco and weed! He looked up to Jenny a great deal and talked about how they used to make music together growing up. We were drinking at Bernie’s one night and showed me a cd cover of hers hanging up. I had no idea the musical contribution she made on the Columbus music scene until The Other Paper story! My knowledge of the local scene in the mid 90′s (I was still in high school then) was only Ishkabibble and Mary Adam 12. I just knew her as Tony’s big sis. Very cool blog!

Bela was the saviour of my band sleepyhead when we drove through columbus. He introduced me to Jerry and we played with gaunt (i think). I was a huge fan and wanted to make a video for them- so I arranged to shoot with Jerry after soundcheck and before our show one time- jerry being jerry showed up after the show instead of after the soundcheck- so we packed up quick and went back to his house. my drummer rachael and i spent the next 3 hours and 5 rolls of super 8 shooting.
